The Manna Difference
With all of the technical talk covered, we can now discuss how liposomal technology benefits your unique body better than other standard processes. In other words, using liposomes to deliver beneficial nutrients offers multiple advantages over all other delivery methods. Here’s how:
- The decreased particle size greatly improves bioavailability. We’re talking particles down to the nanometer level. Any other method to achieve particles that small just won’t cut it.
- As we explained above, the lipid bilayer of liposomes mimics your cells, which allows for enhanced uptake. Bare nutrients trying to enter cells without any assistance from liposomal technology or have large particle sizes have significantly poorer absorption rates.
- Nutrients typically enter the bloodstream through the small intestine via two pathways. The first is absorption within the small intestine, which goes directly into the bloodstream and straight to the liver. The other pathway is from the small intestine into the lymphatic system, which then goes into the bloodstream and is circulated before reaching the liver. This allows for the absorbed nutrients to be utilized by the cells before a “first pass” through the liver. The lymphatic pathway is primarily for fats and fat-based nutrients. Liposomes are absorbed via this pathway, allowing for rapid entry into the bloodstream and tissue dispersion before filtration by the liver.
- Liquid liposomal delivery isn’t physically limited by tablet or capsule size. With traditional methods, there is a physical limit to how much active ingredients can be used per serving because only so much can be put inside a capsule or compressed into a tablet. With our liquid liposomal supplements, however, we can formulate our products to specify an effective amount of active ingredients without being restrained by physical limitations.
- Nutrients contained within liposomes are protected from the harsh acidic environment of the stomach. With traditional delivery methods, nutrients are exposed to stomach acid once the tablet or capsule starts to dissolve. Many nutrients are extremely sensitive, and stomach acid can destroy them before they even enter the small intestine.
I know that might have felt like sitting through a science class, but we’re very proud of the technology that goes behind Manna products, and we’re confident our scientific philosophy is what sets us apart from others! We truly are Vitamins Evolved. As I said before, it may be easy to get lost in the complexity of this process, but keep in mind that no question is ever too silly or ridiculous. So, please, never hesitate to reach out to our team with any questions or concerns that you may have!
Introducing NANOFUSE® Technology
You are unique. And so is your body, which is why we harness the very underrated technological wonder of LIPOSOMES.Liposomes are experts at behaving in a way that your body recognizes because they are composed of the same substance as our body’s own cells. This allows them to be absorbed more effectively because your body recognizes them as cells, rather than an outside substance to be broken down and eliminated (like your morning smoothie or that tasty burger you had last night).
Unlike most liposomal supplements you might find on the market, we partner our liposomes with our trademark NANOFUSEⓇ technology. This allows us to capture the power that significantly increases the absorption of each of our supplements.
Our process of creating liposomal supplements is a true trade-secret, just like those secret recipes your grandma has fine-tuned over the years. And while Grandma has worked tirelessly to perfect that mouth-watering apple pie, we did the same with our NANOFUSEⓇ technology.
This process may seem technically complex, as you may have guessed, but that’s why we’re here to break it down and offer you a more simplified explanation! Here’s some insight on how our NANOFUSEⓇ technology was created.
What is a Liposome?
Liposomes are pretty impressive structures. Consider them as vesicles that deliver therapeutic ingredients such as pharmaceuticals (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients or “API’s”) or dietary supplements to targeted areas of the body. For our science enthusiasts, they are naturally formed self-contained structures with an aqueous core and an outer membrane made of phospholipids. Since the outer lipid bilayer of a liposome is similar to that of a human cell, they are highly biocompatible and easily absorbed.
Liposomes are formed by combining active ingredients (Vitamin C, Zinc, Curcumin, among others) along with components which form the actual liposomes (water, sunflower oil lecithin, and vegetable-based glycerin). The technology is similar to how milk homogenization works. Fluid is forced under high pressure into diminishingly smaller orifices, which creates the uniform mixture with an even distribution of ingredients. The active ingredients are typically smaller in size than before the process to increase their absorption abilities.
